Why is it at the local fast food place, when I ask for several mayonnaise packets and only one ketchup I get no mayonnaise and five ketchups, and then when I only ask for mayonnaise I get two mayonnaise packets and three ketchups?

Do they just assume everyone wants ketchup so they don't bother to pay attention to the response after they ask if someone wants sauce packets?

That's probably exactly what it is. They just default to ketchup because it's what most people have.

I have the opposite problem. I ask for NO mayo and they never listen, they just stick it on the damn burger anyway. yech!

Oh, I don't want them putting it on a burger. I want the little packets so I can dip French fries and chicken nuggets in it.
