Re: Petty Complaints
(Anonymous) 2024-10-31 04:02 am (UTC)(link)when something is purported to be based on such a cultural touchstone level of book as LOTR/Silmarillion, of course such massive and absurd deviations from the source are going to be the main complaint. Either market it as some generic fantasy world with elves or pay the Tolkien estate for the rights to the actual story, don't split down the middle and act shocked when people who know the books get upset.
