You might think they're good people, but at minimum, they've demonstrated some extremely poor, damaging judgment, or a huge deficit in their intelligence and ability to reason and empathize. That's the best possible interpretation. How many opportunities do you want to give them to make bad decisions that will harm you, is what I'm asking? Because now you know you cannot trust them to NOT do that.
The worst interpretation is that they're not as good as you think, which is why they voted for a rapist felon who incites violence and hatred.
