i just got a badge on tumblr for liking 25000 things.

It's honestly the only "social media" thing worth saving.

Man, I tried my hardest to not like things because I hated the "invisible" likes being on my likes page that I could never delete.

That's... why I use likes though? To add them to the giant pile of things I might want to see again which is still smaller than the even more giant pile of things that is the internet.

I understand that. I just hated that if you Liked something, then the person deleted it, the Like would disappear but it would still be a number in your "Likes". So you could visually see three liked posts but the count says there is 27.
