I think the reason Goosebumps is more remembered is because of the books and also because it was still airing when millennials were old enough to watch it. Only the very oldest millennials (more like xennials) saw Are You Afraid of the Dark. And that in-between generation aren’t as engaged in performative childhood nostalgia across social media as millennials.

I never even knew Are You Afraid of the Dark had novels! I now feel kinda cheated out of them, tbh.

Haha same. I loved the show so much but I never knew there were books and I was (am) an avid reader.

Same. I always loved both series, but Goosebumps as books and Afraid of the Dark as tv.
