Star Wars EU was the top along with Anne of Green Gables and eventually Harry Potter. Boxcar children. Goosebumps. Fear Street. That series from Bruce Coville (book of Monsters, etc.).

Babysitters club and Sweet Valley, but mostly because they were easy to get ahold of and had lots of books.

I never really got into the Boxcar children. They had us read those books at school.
I liked the Narnia books, Alice in Wonderland, anything by Beverly Clearly, especially the Ramona books, Winnie the Pooh, Dr. Suess books and Harold and the purple crayon.
There were a bunch of other books I liked but they weren't part of a series.

I remembering getting into The Sleepover Club books because some of them had metallic covers and caught my attention lol. But I did enjoy the friendship group of the girls and what they got up to.
Just looking it up and was surprised to see that the series were by a collection of authors for the 54 books - but I'm pretty sure the ones I mostly read as a kid were by Narinder Dhami and Fiona Cummings.

Baby-sitters Club, American Girl, Dear America, Ramona Quimby, Edward Eager's fantasy.

Series where I only ever read one or two of the books: Disney Girls, Nancy Drew Notebooks (I didn't like regular Nancy), the Young Mandie Mysteries, American Sisters.

The Chronicles of Narnia - read the whole series at least once a year for the better part of a decade (changing up whether reading them in release order or chronological). Also watched the BBC TV series whenever the PBS station we received ran them.

The Bobbsey Twins. Never reread them, but read every one that I could get my hands on.

The Bobbsey Twins (Nan Bert Freddie and Flossie) and Trixie Belden books. I read them voraciously. Can't recall the plot or characters of a single one now only that I enjoyed reading them.

did you ever read The Happy Hollisters? My mom had TBT and Trixie and THH books and I LOVED THEM when I was a kid. I remember teaching myself sign language from THH but that's ALL I remember.
