What is your meaning here? Thanks for the correction I guess, I was posting anon on f!s and writing casually, so I didn't think much about how I worded the post.

Saying Democrat Party is usually a signal to right wingers from other right wingers. Individuals within the party are Democrats, the party as a whole is the Democratic Party.

Never heard about it being a signal before. With respect to the anon who replied bringing it up, it's also just an easy mix up to make while typing on a phone. Anyway, the subject of my post was concern about the party in question shifting further to the right, not celebration.

But OK, good to know, moving on. I really just wanted to say I'm uncertain what will happen under Trump's presidency for gay and trans people, and worried by the backlash/scapegoating against trans people from Democrat politicians I have seen in the news (linked a story up thread), to reword my original post more specifically.
