I'm visiting my sister. However, I'm feeling a little sick. Hoping I feel better tomorrow so I can enjoy the weekend. If I feel better, I'll be heading to the mall.

I have every secret I've ever submitted, plus the ones people made from my comments, in a folder separated by year and labeled by date. I decided to see how many I've posted each year. Apparently I had a lot to say in 2011.

Doesn't challenge the status quo, eh? It's almost as if that book series started off as something written for kids by a mid author who got lucky and can barely plot her way out of YA fantasy, never mind tackle burning social issues with sensitivity and intelligence...

This pretty much. Given it was common practice back in the time her movie took place I can guarantee whoever ended up with her would have had to force it. The fact that they even changed the old men being the suitors to them having sons her age makes it squirmy.

(I am a Merida stan I will die on the hill that she was well within her rights to protest the marriage. But the time frame of the movie...)
