I think it's funny how Farcille shippers threw a huge hissy fit when Labru became the biggest ship tag for the fandom on AO3 (for like a few days) for this similar "F/F > M/M" reasoning. As if there isn't official merch using Farcille and Labru as the duo of "pairings" in the series. The mangaka wouldn't want us to fight 🙏

I mean, a lot of Labru shippers tend to be asshole towards other ships as well, so it's not an isolated issue with just the Farcille shippers. They both think they are the righteous flagship and everyone else is wrong.

You see that sort of thing a lot with juggernaut ships. Most likely it’s just that any sufficiently large subset of fans will have enough assholes in it to make it the entire fandom's problem, but sometimes I wonder if there’s something about the asshole shipper mentality that's drawn to the big ships.

I'm big in the Dunmeshi fandom and I've never seen this brand of self-righteousness with Labru shippers. Very much just Farcille shippers. I say this as someone who ships both.
