Lord of the Rings. Lion King. How To Train Your Dragon. Star Wars (especially OT, but most of them really).

There are lots I love, but those ones will always be the absolute top for me.

Edit: How could I forget Jurassic Park?

Howl's Moving Castle (Beautifully animated story about the redeeming power of love and also convincing people to get off their butts for once in their life.)
Shawshank Redemption (Poignant revenge where both the failure and love of man is on full display.)
Eat Drink Man Woman (A story of how family both drifts apart and stays together, and how life is unexpected but is always what you make of it.)
Lord of the Rings (of course. Peak cozy, deeply comforting story of good triumphing over evil? Heck yeah.)

Aliens - Badass woman who steps up to fight for her own survival and the survival of others despite her fear after traumatizing experiences, a resourceful kid who is a survivor of her own, scary monster aliens, explosions, some epic weapon action, pulse-pounding hunts and chases, awesome tension-building, and a final boss fight.

Jurassic Park - due to a work reward I saw it in the theater 8 times the first week of release (I was 23) and I have never watched it on a small screen nor any of it's sequels except the most recent one. The dinosaurs were bigger than me as I was in a frontish row seat, lol. What an experience! I got to watch it on big screen again with my son at movies in the park in Vancouver Canada in 2008 (?) I think he was 12?

Life changing? I don't know but definitely left a positive lasting impression on me!

Some other long lasting faves that also may not qualify as life changing: Tank Girl, Mary Poppins (Julie Andrews version), Made In Heaven, It's A Wonderful Life, Die Hard, The Chronicles of Riddick, A Nightmare On Elm Street 5: Dream Child, Jingle Jangle A Christmas Journey, The Christmas Chronicles 1 & 2, Alien Mine, Paul, V (series too, ha!), Dark Night of The Scarecrow, Underworld & sequels, The Land Before Time, Tinker Bell and The Legend of The Neverbeast, How To Train Your Dragon 1, 2 & 3, Rise of The Guardians, The Aristocats, Transformers (Optimus Prime is my hero), and of course Superman (Christopher Reeve).

I rarely rewatch full movies but the above are my exceptions. I'll watch edited reactions of anything if I even mildly liked it on first watch, though.
