One of my brothers rambles on about the lives of others with seeming unbelievable stories. When anyone inquires for where the source came from or for clarification, he literally raises his voice, starts waving his arms around, and goes off onto something else and rambles even more. And if you keep trying to bring things back to the original point he derails even more. You give up because he's still rambling, talking over you.
Also sometimes he was telling the truth (on some level) but he embellished on the details. So I just never know what to believe when he talks.

Bro: Cousin It is in trouble with his family because one time they were traveling Cousin It brought a concealed gun and security detained him. He resisted and they had to drag him through the airport.

Me: Who told you that?

Bro: Mom and dad were talking about it. *snickers* Apparently they were stuck there for 24 hours and Cousin It wanted to sue the airport.

Me: When did this happen?

Bro: Last year.

Me: How come I never heard about this?

Bro: You were in New York when they visited.

Me: I went to New York this year

Bro: *raises voice* Well YOU were somewhere else. Cousin It was stripped naked! He wouldn't tell them where he got the gun!

Me: Then why isn't he in prison? I thought illegal gun possession is a federal offense.

Bro: COUSIN IT HAS A FRIEND WHO WORKS FOR THE FBI AND HIS FRIEND CAME AND GOT RID OF THE CHARGES!

*Sometime later*
Me: Mom, is it true Cousin It was detained at the airport for gun possession?

Mom: Who told you that?

Me: Bro # 2. So is it true?

Mom: No, but Cousin It did threaten to kill himself with a gun before they came out here for great-aunt Marge's funeral.

Me: What? Why?

Mom: Cousin It's struggling with drugs and is between jobs. Your uncle told him he had to get a job once they returned from the funeral. I guess Cousin It just didn't handle that well.

And like, I don't know why my brother talks out his ass so much but I hate it and I hate that I hate talking to him.

My older sister's religious stuff annoys me a lot. I also hate that my sister is super into red pill male centered grifting bullshit. She's so willing to be a Pick Me and hate on other women, she has no issue calling other women sluts and whores who are deluded about their looks and wanting to be a baddie.
And it's like, shut up.
A lot of women just want to be happy.
Sorry that they didn't partake the same path as you and didn't have kids young so that you're stuck with a selfish ungrateful husband who is no longer interested in you and you're soaking in your regret that you didn't get to do single childless person things in your 20s and 30s.
Like...are you aware at how obvious your jealousy and projection are?

A lifetime of her BS is enough for me not to engage with her on her shortcomings. I can silently judge but I won't engage.
