Is it possible we can not have these for awhile? The last several posts have just been nothing but wank or attempts at it, I have no problem with political discussion if it's relevant to a secret posted but I don't see why this has to be here. Are not other active DW comms to discuss this, besides FFA?

I feel the point of them is so that the wank doesn't spill over into the general comments. I'd rather just avoid the politics section when I'm not in the mood for political trolling than have it everywhere in GC.

Yes we should only discuss the things you want and the things you like. Anything you do not like or do not want simply should not exist. Do you have a list of proscribed topics we can refer to? You seem like you have a list. You are always pretty active in trying to shout down, and shut down, conversations you don't like. Just give us the damn list of the things in this world which offend you and we can exterminate them, mein fuhrer.

Pretty good example of why the politics thread is out here though, isn't it? Most people who post in this thread are looking for something to be offended by and to righteously smite.

Caring so much about what fandomsecrets of all places thinks of current international politics is bonkers to me, but people are weird. At least it won't leak into the general comments this way.

While I think ayrt's comment was a bit over the top, they do have a point. You're basically trying to police political discussion, even after the topic was separated from the general comments so that you wouldn't have to see it.

If you want more talk that isn't politics, you gotta find other ways to keep the comm active. Look at all the secrets with only one or two or none comments you scrolled all the way down past to rant in here. Scroll back up and leave a few more comments, then maybe you'll have a right to complain about activity here.
