I love them so much. But I tend to listen to them on repeat when the mood strikes, then back off. I feel like all of February was a TAD month that maybe skewed the data lol

My Top Artists were Woodkid (my top from last year), Imagine Dragons (a new entry I blame on the DJ), Lady Gaga, Florence and The Machine, and Muse.

My Top songs: Dog Days Are Over, Blood in the Bayou (River Lume), Me and the Devil (Soap&Skin), Seperate Ways (Worlds Apart) (Journey), and Seven Nation Army - Glitch Mob Remix (White Stripes, Glitch Mob).

I had genres but they were weird. Like "warlock fantasy bard" and "pink pilates princess strut pop" and "goblincore acoustic rock folk punk"

I feel like they are just throwing random words together and calling it a genre.

ayrt - right? That pink princess one I can only guess is the result of me going on a Chappelle Roan and Olivia Rodrigo binge a few months back. Still. What the hell.

I don’t use Spotify but I can instantly get a picture of the stereotypical listener for each of those genres and that gives me an idea of how they sound. I actually really, really like it!

I listened to 'illicit affairs' 279 times since September when I put it on my playlist (it was on the Whumptober 2024 Playlist). I am using it to write a trilogy of fics (have two whole fics and chapter one of the third (out of three) finished - there's going to be more binging and looping the song in my future). I am NOT a swiftie and I don't even care for Taylor much, but I just vibe to some of her songs when I'm writing and I love that. The songs on 'folklore' and 'evermore' are so easy to listen to to me and I find them soothing and easy to write to. I am in the top 2% of her listeners apparently, which seems wild to me, and we 'spent 3,932 minutes together', lol.

I also went to see Fall Out Boy this year and I wrote a six-chapter fic this year that was based around songs from 'So Much (For) Stardust' so that tracks. I had NO IDEA I listened to the song 'Organs' so much this year but here we are. I do love that song. Can't believe 'labour' by Paris Paloma wasn't in my top five - I've listened to it what feels like a million times this fall.

Probably Boxer. Though, only because it is the one I've listened to the most. It was the first album I listened to and has my favorite The National song (Slow Show).

It's a Longmire fic that is about Mathias (Cheyenne tribal police chief) and Walt (white county sheriff) solving a series of murders that take place on the reservation and in the county! If it ends in slash, well, then, so be it!

SA - I figured out how to check my top 100 and 'labour' ended up coming in at #7 lol. (K.Flay's 'Blood in the Cut' came between it and the top 5)

It is a wrap up of your year on spotify. So stats of your most listened to songs and artists and trends you had throughout the year. Just a fun little thing they do each December.
