Re: Ships that became canon?

YEAH, as a book Omens fan, it was wild to see that ship go canon after so many years!

And yeah, Mulder/Scully had such amazing moments and growth and then... well, I had checked out before they made them canon anyway.

Wildest one for me, though, was Supernatural-- no, not destiel (I mean, that too, but that's not the weird one), but my complete crack ship of Gabriel/Rowena. Didn't even expect them to appear onscreen together, I just thought if they ever did meet, they'd be the most chaotic power couple (or at least the most chaotic hook-up) and... well, chaotically hook up they did.

But most of the time, I don't expect anything I ship to wind up canon-- in large part because I grew up shipping a lot of gay stuff and often in older media that had already ended. (although... Kirk and Spock did get to hold hands and watch the sunset in the year 2024 so anything is possible?)
