I mean, they're musical theatre stans. They get that way about each other too, with every new casting announcement of every role in every show they stan.

Just roll with it, accept that it's not personal and definitely not about you specifically, and you'll be fine.

Please don't feel that way! I've been a fan of the musical for over a decade, but the movie is reigniting all my feelings about it and I am absolutely thrilled that it's becoming actually popular enough to sustain a decent sized fandom! I'm so happy that more people are experiencing this story and loving it like I do. I am so excited to see a revival of the fandom, especially since I wasn't around during its heyday. This is like, the best case scenario that I could have possibly imagined, and I am honestly going to judge anybody who looks down on movie-first fans, because it's such a good movie though and isn't it great to have more people here who like the same thing we do?
