Albums

[personal profile] philstar22 2024-12-11 01:30 am (UTC)(link)
What are your favorite and least favorite albums by your favorite artists?

Metallizer is my least favorite Sabaton album. And I can never decide of the Art of War or The Last Stand are my favorite album. Honestly I love all their albums except Metallizer.

Are there any cartoons you'd like to see as live action?

(Anonymous) 2024-12-11 01:31 am (UTC)(link)
I can't think of any that I loved as much as the cartoon.

How To Train Your Dragon is the big one, TBH, though I don't think I'll love it as much as the movie. ATLA was the other one, and the live action was okay, but just okay.

Gargoyles!

Only if they're willing to do a solid adaptation rather than a remake. Otherwise I can just watch the original and enjoy it more. Of course, this can still be, and often is, a terrible miss (looking at you, first AtLA movie) but at least they're trying something different.

I would like to see Monster (manga/anime) adaptation if it counts

Re: Are there any cartoons you'd like to see as live action?

(Anonymous) 2024-12-11 04:07 am (UTC)(link)
Nope. I can't think of many I thought were as good as the animated. I can only think of a few that I even wanted to watch. But I can think of a few live-action movies that might benefit from being adapted into animation. Like Charlie/Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (the sequel, Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator, should definitely be animated if they ever bring it to screen), the Harry Potter movies, maybe the Twilight movies, etc.

Re: Are there any cartoons you'd like to see as live action?

no, simply because I prefer animation/cartoons as media to live actions. I find them more creative and engaging. I like live action movies, too, but if there is a cartoon version of the same story I will ALWAYS prefer looking at the animation and drawings.

Favorite Non-Holiday Holiday movies

[personal profile] philstar22 2024-12-11 01:35 am (UTC)(link)
What movies do you love to watch during the holidays that aren't official holiday movies but totally are in your mind?

Inspired by LOTR, which was released in December and with part of Fellowship happens in December, so is totally a holiday movie for me.

I guess Holiday-- I think it has a New Year's Eve party but not a Christmas. But I first saw it during a family Christmas as a sort of double-bill with The Bishop's Wife so.

(not to be confused with The Holiday)

I like to watch Live Free or Die Hard for the Fourth of July.

I watch Die Hard with my father every Christmas Eve while we wrap presents. We always say "It isn't Christmas until Hans Gruber falls from the Nakatomi Tower" lol
