Last song or album you listened to on repeat

[personal profile] philstar22 2024-12-13 12:44 am (UTC)(link)
Was there a song or album recently that you listened to repeatedly?

For some reason, the last few days I've been obsessing over One by One from the Lion King musical. No idea why, but it has been pleasing my ears.

Jan Laurenz does a rendition of Nightwish's Amaranth on his acoustic guitar that I've been enjoying a lot. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kvUryWI1oDY

Prolly Starbomb.

Might be Sturgill Simpsons sound and fury, if you count watching the music videos.

I cycle through listening to various The Amazing Devil songs on repeat. Not Yet/Love Run Reprise and Welly Boots lately, but The Old Witch Sleep, Wild Blue Yonder, Chords, and Elsa's Song are all ones I will just listen to on repeat for awhile and then move on for a bit. I am just a little obsessed with their harmonies and Joey's pronounciations/way of singing certain words or phrases.

The whole album is just *chef's kiss*. My favorite song by him is Where I Live.

Celtic Christmas music playlists, which is typical for me this time of year.

And here's a Windham Hill playlist I found that's a mix of Christmas and Winter Celtic music:

I found more, but they were either bits of already existing playlists or they just sounded samey (which isn't surprising, given that there are only so many Christmas songs and so many ways to play them on a harp or piano without it sounding that way).

I've been looping The Crane Wives' 'The Moon Will Sing' on repeat a LOT lately (hello Spotify Wrapped 2025). I've also been listening to Gang of Youth's 'Go Father in Lightness' album and Lord Huron's 'Strange Trails' album on repeat.

Album...Ghost - Impera.

Song...Rivers in the Desert from the Persona 5 soundtrack. P5R has a lot of great music, RitD is the one that's sticking for me at the current moment.
