I mean, if Lois McMaster Bujold can turn her Klingon OC/Starfleet OC idea into a best-selling series, I'm sure there's an audience out there for yours.

AYRT Hm, there are parts I'm really into and parts I'm not, but it's pretty straightforward to read until you're not enjoying it anymore! But the first book/s (they're often packaged as a single book) is the one based on this idea.

I enjoy the series very much, but IMO, the Star Trek influence isn't that obvious.
