I enjoy my share of crossovers, but I also think the serious ones are rarely done well.

Regarding Sonic, I just think Japan loves to crossover anything. Another Eden is full of crossovers.

I can see why people would prefer Spirited Away (and I do like it), but Princess Mononoke is my favourite Ghibli film by far. I'm not even a big Ghibli fan. But Princess Mononoke is just... great cinema.

I'm not big on canon crossovers unless it makes sense in some way (I hate to use it as an example, but the Fairly Oddparents and Jimmy Neutron crossover, for example). Even fandom crossovers are a no unless it's limited to two similar fandoms that would mesh well. A lot of times crossovers just feel like... too much cake? It only really works in little slices.

I like crossovers. I like fusions too. Some aren't well done, but sometimes you get two great tastes that that taste great together. I'm reading Spider-Man in Gotham fic right now. Dark chocolate brownies with lots of nuts, swirled with sticky caramel, yum.

I think they both are the one good movies from Ghibli in general. Yes, even Howl's moving castle or the Graveyard of Fireflies are boring.

I like crossovers as long as they're treated like one-off fun events that are totally not canon to either universe, which is usually the case so most are fine. Idk how you'd take or treat a real crossover 'seriously'.

Half-crossover AUs where the cast of one canon were born in another canon's world and were always there, are fun and pretty easy to do seriously though. Without all the scrambling around trying to explain how the mechanics of two different universes colliding works

Crossovers are very much a "You do you" thing for me - as long as they can exist in their own section where I don't have to interact with them, I'm fine with them. The idea of official crossovers bug me to no end for this reason, especially when they're considered canon for some unimaginable reason. (looking at you, BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle)
