I still want a sequel series to American Gothic. It has only been thirty years, coming September, there is still hope. Right?

Weird timing. I was *just* looking up this show because randomly I was thinking "what was that weird show with that one kid with the accent and the creepy sheriff" and amazingly actually found it. The plot was a lot wilder than teenage me remembered!

I desperately wanted that show to come back and then for at least a sequel. But most of the cast are steaming piles of shit so for once I’m actually hoping for a reboot.

I went to look up the actors to then look up the dirt and I just learned there are 2 shows titled American Gothic. One from 1995 and one from 2016 and at a quick glance they seem totally unrelated. Huh.

Yeah it’s the 95 one I was talking about. Lucas Black and Nick Searcy in particular but also Jake Weber (to a lesser extent afaik).
