It's worth questioning if it was made by proshippers to begin with. Not because they can do no wrong lol, but because I've seen plenty of people making fake block lists to fuck with a side, mostly transphobes making blocklists to block terfs, but it has lgbtq and trans on it instead.

My stay on Bluesky has been very pleasant, but the blocklists are one of those things that sound like would be covenient but turns out are way too sploitable.

I think we are at the time when proshippers can be just as heinous as antis, without the public callouts and name calling. It's just human nature.

Proshippers can be as heinous as antis in certain ways, but they will never, ever be as bad as antis on the simple grounds that antis engage in bullying in the name of censorship. Even though it's not a good-and-bad but rather a bad-and-worse situation, anyone bullying on the side of censorship is still worse than anyone bullying on the side against it.

Bullying anyone for any reason is bad anon, I don't care 'what side of the fence' they're on and it doesn't matter to me. You're a shithead regardless if you harass someone over fictional shit and trying to downplay the actions of one side, because you likely are on that side, just tells me you think that side's actions are justified for some reason when they're not. A shithead is a shithead regardless of tribal association thanks.

But yeah. The people trying to claim that just because there's a fight, both sides must be "equally wrong" just make me roll my eyes. And blocking people who say abusive things is not bullying in the first place.

Antis are hopelessly mired in magical thinking. If they wanted to make a taboo against saying "rape" and claimed that would eradicate rape, people would understand immediately why that isn't going to work. But, because people are uncomfortable with rape scenes in fiction and like the idea that doing something easy could address a problem that's hard ... they get away with claims that are every bit as outlandish.
