I got into my first online fandom 30 years ago, and still read the occasional fic and admire new fanart, and the fandom is still going strong. I got into my next big fandom in 2012, and was into it for 8 years. I still occasionally check for new fic, but the fandom is a ghost town and hardly anyone talks about it now. I got into my next fandom in 2022 and it's already slowed way down. My most recent fandom came out in 2024 and is already dead. What's next, one that lasts two weeks?
