But that's ultimately what "this type of hated doesn't exist" is about. Hatred only "exists," and therefore only matters, when it flows in one direction. It's something else, something understandable, when it flows the other way. This could just be an explanation, but in practice is a justification for hating other people.

No. No, it's not. Saying "this is not happening" is not the same thing as "this actually is happening and is completely fine". I don't get what is hard to understand about that. And no one's talking about "hatred" anyway. Some people not wanting to read M/F fanfic is not somehow oppression towards or "hatred" of straight people.

No, it is saying there is a difference between individuals expressing hatred towards a group in power and the abuse against those not in power by those in power. Because the first one is individual prejudice, yes. But it doesn't have the same real world consequences. It doesn't come with the power dynamic that allows the group in power to take advantage of the other groups.
