I've seen this referred to as "one-eye watching", because your other eye is on something else, in my case whatever craft I'm doing. Some things are great for that, some need more attention (hence "two-eye watching"). Both are fine.

Yep, I love to watch stuff like cooking shows while I'm cooking for myself because I don't have to be paying full attention to what's happening on the screen in order to be able to enjoy them.
