In high school I had a friend who pronounced "character" as "CHair-ict-or" and after a few times where I tried to tell her that the "ch" should actually be pronounced with a "k" sound because the "h" is silent and she chose to ignore me, I conceded that it was her special character quirk.

Irritated the shit out of me but I learned to get over it long enough that we remained friends for a few years, even after high school.
