That all-caps NO ROMANCE is a big limiter. I can find games with low romance, but a lot of them at least have vaguely shippy implications.

Yeah, no kidding. I was thinking "did they mean to say otome instead of joseimuke games?" But I guess if they strictly don't want to see romance, it would rule out both.

It honestly drives me crazy that it's easy to find media aimed at men that has zero romance, but somehow people seem to think that anything aimed at women MUST contain romance. It's so stupid.

Why? I don't need stuff to be marketed to me to buy it. Being able to find out it exists and where is plenty.

It is nice when things are marketed to you occasionally, though. It's not personal, but it can be annoying just knowing that the things you like aren't marketed to you because people like you aren't considered worth marketing to... whether "people like you" means "women who don't want romance" or something else.

OP and this is exactly it. I can (and do) play games that are marketed at men all the time. But sometimes it would be nice to have an action/adventure/horror/etc. game starring a cast of hot guys that are written for women, not for men.
