I just want to hug the crap out of you, anon. So, from one stranger to another: *HUGS*

(Anonymous) 2025-01-06 03:05 am (UTC)(link)
Aww, OP, I'm so sorry you've been feeling this way. I wish I could give you a big hug.

(Anonymous) 2025-01-06 05:32 am (UTC)(link)
Why do you feel like a fraud?

(Anonymous) 2025-01-06 08:05 am (UTC)(link)
This is just a guess, but OP might be bisexual. A lot of wlw fandom really hates bi women and considers anyone who isn't a lesbian to be straight, ergo you are a liar if you claim to like women but not only women. Sometimes it goes further, and anyone who doesn't exclusively ship femslash is called straight, including lesbians who like other types of ships.

(Anonymous) 2025-01-06 05:36 pm (UTC)(link)
That's far from my experience, most wlw are bisexual and the term is inclusive to them.

IME bi women are accepted in wlw spaces until they actually express attraction to a man.

don't forget when certain lesbians will treat any woman that has ever gone out with a man as ~unclean~

Idk, it just feels like even though I feel attraction for other women, I constantly feel like I'm doing something wrong and that I'm not 'woman' enough to count like everyone else.

Like in a gnc/butch way or something else? For me I'm autistic and being around allistic women feels like dressing in drag despite being afab, it's hell. I don't relate to "the culture" either or connect to the history, my ex said I count as butch but I just don't care.

Maybe? Honestly the 'feel like I'm dressing in drag' sentiment feels a little relatable, but gender boxes and rules always feel like a clown show that I'm forced to act in and some how mess up all of the time.
But I don't want to Id as anything because it's not worth the aggravation - and I'm trying to appear normal enough to get employed.

TBH, I don't think about actual gender identity or care about it. I just feel left out because I don't like femininity or the rituals assigned to it, but most women I know do. Autism and ADHD is mostly what colors my experience, I rarely meet other NDs in real life.
