This. It is rare to find happily childless female characters who stay that way. Why can't we have just a few? Christina Yang is one of the few I can think of, honestly. And I adore her.

There is at least half the cast of Call the Midwife. They are happy being childless.

Huh maybe that's one of the reasons I like the show so much despite not being able to be in the same room as kids IRL.
(I mean, a lot of the cast are nuns so there's that, too...)

Star Trek franchise might be your jam.
Janeway from Star Trek, also Seven, and Kes. That is just Voyager.

TOS I think all the female cast stayed childless.

TNG, not so hot on that one but Original Flavor Tasha Yar was childless and happy.

Both on screen Daxes on Deep Space Nine stayed Childless, as did Kai Win, and Kira.

We've covered Voyager.

ENT both female leads stayed un-pregnant. Okay there was the DNA theft baby, twice [although one of those was a pregnant guy, who also got his DNA stolen for the second DNA heist...weird it happened to the same guy twice... wait, thrice maybe?], but no actual female pregnancy.

No one gave a shit about STD, so who cares.

LD, other that Captain Freeman all the female leads were childless and happy to be so.

PIC... copy paste from TNG and Voyager.

SNW, copy-paste from TOS and the original female characters remained childless.

That brings us uptodate on Star Trek. I'm sure there is something I'm forgetting there.

Are there main characters from Star Trek that did go off to have children?

Bev, Troi, Keiko, actually it was more the male characters that spread their seed far and wide. Boldly coming and all that. Lot of them turned out to be deadbeat dads too, for some reason.

Janeway infamously did have children, but seeing as she and Paris abandoned them in a swamp somewhere I suppose she sort of counts as childless.

There was also Kate on The Drew Carey Show. It’s been years, so I don’t remember it clearly, but I think that’s one of the reasons she and Drew split up. She wanted to focus on her career instead of having kids while Drew really wanted kids.
