My house has been without any running water since Monday and I am over it. I feel gross and grimy and hate having to go to work without having a shower. It is a city wide problem and the city said it would be back on yesterday and while some houses got some water, we are still without it over 24hrs after they said it was back on.

Nothing really to do but wait. I'm just grumpy because I feel yuck and because no running water makes my job a huge pain in the butt.

Ty! I am keeping my fingers crossed it is back on in the morning. I just got a text from a friend a few miles away that theirs just came back on, so there is hope!

I'm worrying we're going to lose power here with the snow storm. Because this is Texas and it happens a lot. We don't do snow very well. Actually we don't do much very well.

Definitely stock up on supplies if you haven't yet! Non-perishable food you can eat without electricity, water, extra blankets, flashlights and batteries, etc. And good luck. I hope it ends up being milder than predicted and all you get is pretty snow to look at for a bit and no power outages.

Oh we have. They've been warning us about this for over a week. We're very stocked up. Also my mother is always prepared for just about anything.

I hope so too. Office finally officially said we're closed tomorrow. Just going to hole up at home and get some work done here (stuff that has to get done this week, don't have a choice).

Oh, frustrating. Can you possibly get any no-rinse shampoo and body wash? They can feel a bit strange too but at least you don't feel grimy.

I've been doing a sort of 'camp shower' set up - bottled water and soap for the body, so it's honestly mostly just the hair at this point. If it isn't back on in the morning my plan is to get up early and hit the stores for a dry or no-rinse shampoo.
