Doctors with Long Covid. I shouldn't laugh, but I do.

Why laugh at that? They probably got it trying to help people. It's not funny.

ikr? and if it means they're not working/are working reduced hours, it means even more pressure on the health care system.

Not silly, but definitely ironic given how many of those doctors were likely part of the huge percentage of medical professionals that refuse to believe that conditions like the ones AYRT has are real and not just attention-seeking.

DA

Because a lot of people are dismissed by doctors as fakers or just lazy when they have ME/CFS. Some doctors don't believe it even exists. It looks very much like Long Covid, so it highlights the stark difference when it's something they have first hand experience with. Suddenly, the doctor has the same type of symptoms they dismissed as fake in their patients. Like, welcome to the party, pal.

ayrt I said I shouldn't laugh. I know it's not a good response. After 30 years of being told it's all in my head, dear, I have the human response of a chuckle at them dealing with what I'm dealing with and suddenly finding that it's a) real and b) very unpleasant.
