I must've missed something, why is AO3 going to be banned?

It's probably not, but they're talking about laws surrounding what charities can and can't do, and the government's ability to shut them down if they don't like what the charity is doing. Unlike, say, local homeless charities or red state women's healthcare, AO3 can just pick up and move, though.

It's not. There's an anon with a weird hateboner for AO3, to the point they can look at the damage a bunch of oligarchs intend to do to a country and hope AO3 is just as much of a priority as the country burns all around them. Kind of sad, really.

ngl there's an understandable fear that AO3 could get banned due to it's content - pretty much repeating the history that lead to the creation of AO3 in the first place, only with a government instead of a website host to worry about.
