I don't believe you. You always see a sitting plan. Even if it's far away you can bring binoculars. There's no seats that barely get sound. If there's then it's a reason for refund and complaint to this Brothers. Thirdly podcasters concerts is not even a thing, farthermore with expensive seats and huge rooms where you can't see the stage. I know because I went to some less known venues. This secret feels like an ad for these podcasters.

What are you talking about? Podcasters absolutely do live events. Yes, you see a seating plan when you buy your tickets, but if you don't typically go to live events you wouldn't necessarily be able to visualize/understand how far away the nosebleed seats are. Usually the sound is still good in nosebleed seats, but some venues do have shitty sound.

Do you have any recommendations for a new tablet computer?

You might want to get that cynicism checked out by a professional.

It really isn’t always clear where the seats are in relation to the stage. And maybe bands sound great in a venue thanks to their expert professional sound crew, but that doesn’t mean everyone who puts on a show there will produce the same sound quality. There are even venues where no one sounds good, like that terrible Olympic stadium in London.

da but I go to a ton of shows and concerts on a regular basis and I've never once seen a seating plan that didn't make VERY clear exactly where the stage was.

I do as well, and there have definitely been venues (the big ones) where the relative size is hard to gauge. What looked like decent seats on paper ended up not so great irl.

(Anonymous) 2025-01-22 02:29 am (UTC)(link)
ayrt and oh yeah, the size isn't always accurate, but I generally just judge by the location of the seats. If I'm 16 rows back or up in the second balcony level I'm not gonna expect a great view of the stage just by virtue of where they are.

DA

The relative location is almost always posted but sometimes the images aren't to scale and the stage ends up being way smaller and further away than the figures made it look. Happens a lot with theater seats too :(

Oh look the naysayer's back.

Podcasters, especially D&D podcasters, absolutley do live shows. Are you from the past?

Also, it is very easy to misbook seats that you thought looked fine on the map but are different in reality.

This is such a normal secret dealing with normal stuff, it os such an odd one to be a doubting tomas about.

I have seen plenty of seating charts that are hard to decipher.

What the hell does "I know because I went to some less known venues" even mean in this context? How does that 'prove' anything when they clearly did not go to a less-known venue?

I saw the McElroys (TAZ) in Boston, and they were in the Wang Theater, the largest (at time of ticket purchase) venue in the city. There were 100% seats where you would have barely been able to see them, it was hard enough from our middling seats. My experience makes me believe OP 100%, especially if they aren't familiar with ticketing systems and how to read the seating plan. OP, you have my condolences and I really hope you can get better seats next time!

what in a reddit hell are you on about?

"Thirdly podcasters concerts is not even a thing, farthermore with expensive seats and huge rooms where you can't see the stage."

Sounds like you haven't been to Cheerful Earful.
