(Anonymous) 2025-01-27 04:05 am (UTC)(link)Given that when I grew up it seemed like everyone older than 16 thought that playing video games and admitting to it in public made you a loser or a budding delinquent, I'm finding it sociologically fascinating that public perceptions of gaming as something people could actually be admired for (in the same US that stigmatized arcades so hard) have changed THIS much. I get that pretty much by definition, the technocrats of Silicon Valley are nerds among nerds, but still.
