I hadn't read all of the comments when I had seen the first video, but from what I saw a lot of people were giving a pretty fair opinion on why they weren't watching his try foods series; mostly either he was just eating with very little explanation/reaction before moving onto the next thing to try or that they weren't really interesting videos even with his friends on them.

Granted, he didn't really ask for constructed criticism - but that first video was pretty much asking to get those view for those videos over 100k and I'm not surprised that people were saying why they're not into them while wanting to give a helpful response (and undoubtedly there were probably the typical rude commenters that made the response video justifiable).
On one hand, I don't think ProZD was over reacting in his response - but on the other hand if knowing that it's too expensive to make videos like that and still not getting the views you want to justify those costs, then that might just be a sign to either take a break from that idea or just lay it to rest.
