Not silly at all. You gotta do what you gotta do.

Good on you! That’s a great way of getting yourself through a little more time when everything is just so hard.

At one of my worst points, I decided that as awful as things were, I could stick around for a few months until the next series of Lie to Me aired. I was miserable, but just curious enough to see how the new episodes turned out. That was over a decade ago and I’m still here.

I think this is smart and healthy. I used to use season premieres that had shows that ended on a cliffhanger. Gotta hold on to find out what happened.

That's a really sweet and wholesome thing! Chopped marathons helped me get through some rough days in the 2010s.

Not a damn thing wrong with wholesome and comforting. We're going to need more wholesome and comforting in the foreseeable future.

If it works it works, and there's no shame in that.

When the black dog gets more intrusive I do this too, friend. Anything for tomorrow.

Honestly, sometimes those shows get me through the day!

I've been living small goals life for a long time now. It's not stupid even if it's not baking shows for me. But I live through a lot of days because there is going to be a YouTube video or a show I like

Not strange at all. I, too, have chronic severe depression. One of my coping methods was/is the Days Until app. I have it on my phone's home screen. I make sure there's something within the next 30 days I can 'look forward' to. Doesn't have to matter to anyone but me.

- Have to get to the season finale of x show.

- Have to reach [person's] birthday.

- Have to see x movie when it comes out.

- Have to read x book when it comes out, the series isn't finished yet.

Doesn't matter. I can count the days, when it's really bad, and go "I can make it that long though."

Baby steps are still steps forward.
