In general, I think people overestimate how much they can purchase morality. It’s easy to say “I won’t spend money on this one thing because the people behind it are terrible” and then spend money on something that’s also backed by terrible people they don’t know are terrible. Sometimes the terrible people even market themselves on how not-terrible they are, like “fair trade” coffee brands that pay their growers even less than the regular coffee brands.

i'm talking about art though, which if corporations aren't doing it for you, you can trawl through copyright free stuff, and not the way corporations have consolidated themselves above boycotts.
