Good large heating pad

[personal profile] philstar22 2025-01-28 11:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Anyone have a rec for a good, large-size heating pad? I had one for almost 5 years that was great, but it died a year and a half ago. They stopped making that one. I've had 3 since then, same large size, but not nearly the same quality. Some parts don't get hot, other parts get overhot. And they die quickly.

I just want a nice heating pad that can cover my back or wrap around my head that actually works properly.

Yes! The Pure Enrichment PureRelief XL Heating Pad is the go to in my family. We own like three. https://pureenrichment.com/products/purerelief-xl-king-size-heating-pad

Also, I bought their weighted heating pad recently and it is fantastic. https://pureenrichment.com/products/weightedwarmth%E2%84%A2-extra-wide-weighted-heating-pad

It is so fucking nice. I use it when I want to take a nap. Just lay it on my abdomen and just drift off to sleep. They have a weighted throw blanket as well but I don't have the space to store it when I don't need it.

I bought all my siblings weighted lap blankets for Christmas. They can travel in weighted comfort now, or just enjoy them on the couch.

See, I feel like that might be nice for when I'm wanting to heat my back. But more often I have a sinus headache and want the heat on my head. Heck, sometimes when it is really bad I put the heating pad on my face and go to sleep like that. And I'm not sure the weighted would be all that good for that.

I have a hellomoto one which is long (12"x24"). It has three settings (I rarely use the high because it's so hot), an auto turnoff, and you can disconnect it from its cord and wash it in the washer if you need to. I've used it often for at least two years and it is still going strong.

Anyone have a rec for some published, queer erotica? Or fantasy novels with erotic themes?

I really like the Sin City series by Tricia Owens (erotica, but not fantasy)

Best Place to buy a PC?

[personal profile] kaijinscendre 2025-01-28 11:57 pm (UTC)(link)
I want to get a new PC before they get crazy expensive. My current one is fine but definitely starting to show its age. Plus, if I get a new one, I can gift my nephew my current one.

So, where have yall bought a gaming PC from?

Newegg mainly.

Any """gamer""" branded thing has huge markups and isn't really worth it.

I was thinking Costco but I'll look and see what Newegg has. https://www.costco.com/ibuypower-tracemesh-7-gaming-desktop---14th-gen-intel-core-i7-14700f---geforce-rtx-4060---windows-11---32-gb-ram---2tb-ssd---black.product.4000251760.html

I even thought about replacing the video card but I don't have the brain power to figure out what else I would need to upgrade. I don't have the order information from when I bought it years ago. ;_;
