Sometimes I look back on the days when everyone I knew basically thought Mitt Romney was Satan and then think about how Romney 2024 would have been pretty nice.

God, exactly. I voted against him in 2012, but now I've grown to have some slight respect for him after he voted to convict Trump and supported BLM. I'd take a Republican like him over the Meme Crew in office now.

I also never thought I'd agree with Dick Cheney on anything, but I agree with him about Trump.

AYRT, I'm still too scarred by the Bush era to want to hand it to Dick Cheney on anything. Trump and endorsing Harris was his "a broken clock is still right twice a day" moment, but otherwise I feel like that's just a publicity stunt to "reform" his image. Bush also criticized Trump. (Not disagreeing with you, just adding on.)
