Safe doesn't just mean good person. It can also mean: this person is not violent or only sexually attracted to a sex I'm not.

Those two things don't equal safe. The not violent one, maybe, if you really aren't affected by words or actions in any way. But you don't need to be sexually attracted to someone to hurt them sexually, in fact attraction usually doesn't even enter the equation.
