Its not that deep, people just want more nazis to fight. They want a far-right to wave their finger at. Being a good guy is addictive but hard, so convincing themselves everyone is a nazi just feels good.

You have it backwards. Nazis are the ones picking the fights here. By treading on other people's freedom and right to exist.

Nobody who's sane ever wants to see a Nazi, or hear of a Nazi, much less fight one. We are unfortunately forced to if we wish to continue existing.

If you are minimizing a very clear threat, you are either a blissfully ignorant idiot or a sympathizer (which at this point isn't much different from a Nazi).

given how happy and willing leftists in general are to wave their fingers at and scold each other, even with terrifying far-right extremists getting more extreme all the time, this seems to me precisely backward

people who are addicted to feeling like the good guy frankly don't need nazis to be superior to because they already feel superior to everyone

the people yelling nazis are the ones who......have noticed the extremely obvious and worrying parallels and also noticed all the actual neo-nazis hollering hooting and cheering, and are absolutely chewing the walls trying to get people to admit that the thing happening in front of us is happening
