Sanji is also better. Not being a pervert is a wonderful improvement.

LA Sanji was delightful

Yes!
I love him just being over-the-top flirty

Sanji is the best change the live action made though to be honest, I'm a little bit worried how they'll treat the character in the future.

Matt Owens said that Sanji is his favourite character and I think it shows in not only how his perviness has been changed to suave charm (great, but not really a character flaw anymore?), but also how the Sanii/Zoro beef is now started by Zoro seemingly being jealous of Sanji joining the crew. Most, if not every time, the two argued in the LA it was started by Zoro being petty and ended with Sanji "winning" by getting the last word in.

It's perfectly fine for season one but I do hope season two course corrects a bit when it comes to Sanji.

I'm not familiar with the anime/manga, and I liked LA-Sanji quite a bit, but I wouldn't exactly call it "suave charm"... was it that bad in the other versions?

Ayrt

It varies in how bad it is, and it's sometimes used for good effect, but it's a "I love you despite of it" kind of deal for me. Sanji's lowest lows in the anime/manga are always related to his perviness. And the lowest lows are VERY low, to the point were I know people who lost all goodwill for the character for a while. Especially if they only watched the anime, which made the bad shit even worse by dragging it out and overplaying it.

If it was on the level it is in the LA, OG Sanji might have been my favourite character in OG One Piece because his highs are also very high. He's a character of extremes in the original and while a lot of it makes sense in the story, some is also just pervy humour of the author/editor not landing right.

Yeah, it is really that bad. Mostly because I think it was considered top humor for teenage boys (and OP's target audience is teenage boys) in Japan for some time.
I like LA's take on it - Sanji is charming, but comes a bit too strong to be suave
