Yes, exactly! It was well known even on non-fandom sites. I remember various forums would mention it. Or complain about its reputation (ship wars, drama, social justice wank, trolling). We have trolls and drama now and again but are certainly much more chill than when the comm was busiest, though I do miss those days!
