Oh absolutely. One fandom I was in had a person like that who was very much into "someone hurt my feeeeelings, fandom should be for fun, cheer me up!" and demand fic/gifs/art of her faves. The person who hurt her feelings had done something like write a fic without her OTP in it, or wrote a fic that didn't fit her sacred headcanon. I had her blocked but kept seeing people catering to her. But then she picked on a popular fan artist and the fan artist politely but publicly pointed out that her headcanon is no more canon than the artist's was, so let's keep comments positive because fandom is for fun! And the complainer flounced! And when people didn't beg her to come back, she stayed gone!

I have never admired someone's social skills more.

The toxic positivity I tend to run across is more along the lines of "any criticism that isn't complimentary is bad, so if anyone brings anything outside of gushing how wonderful the protags are, they will be blocked or shamed out of this fandom space".

The entitlement of "make me happy when I'm down because fandom is supposed to be fun" is irksome too, I agree.

America is really speed running this whole fall into a dictatorship, isn't it? Vance is already saying Trump and Musk are literally above all laws, and it is treason to disobey they. This is the point where Democrats ought to be having meetings with the military and talking about emergency transitional powers. Every country in SE Asia, and S. America which has survived this knew they had to move real quick at this point.
