This feels like the Instagram version of fandom. Writing and posting fic for likes instead of being a writer who has to copy down what their muse and imagination dream up. The second kind is exactly the kind of author who doesn’t care about comments or kudos; it’s very common to post it just inc case it strikes someone’s fancy but the most important part of the process is the writing.
