Nah people just have different views on this.

I genuinely do not require feedback or attention to write, and to be completely honest: it doesn't matter how much feedback I get for a given fic or in a given fandom once my creativity has run it's course I don't write for those fandoms anymore, no matter how many comments I might get in the future. I truly write what I want to write and what I'm interested in, I post it because I figure others might get a kick out of it and if they do: cool. But it's not a requirement and I'm not being 'rejected' if my fic doesn't get much attention.

It's really not very complicated.
