You ever buy a new stack you think is gonna hit, but disappoints?

Bought some trolli jellybeans because I love Trolli. I love jelly beans. Sadly, they are extremely mid.

SNACK!

To be fair, sometimes snacks come in stacks.

I've felt this way about a few flavors of Doritos. There was a mango habanero flavor that wasn't great. Not terrible but just nothing terribly exciting. And it seems all the flavors I do like get discontinued or withheld from my region. Meh.

I LOVED moon pies as a kid, and got one at a faster station out of nostalgia and man...they do not hold up. Blegh.

Oh man, SAME! First time I tried one as an adult, "Were these always so dry and flavorless????"

I wonder about stuff like this, and whether or not in recent years the company was told by the higherups to change their formula or use cheaper (lower quality) ingredients.

Because I had a similar reaction to Cookies & Creme Twix when they briefly brought it back. I remember it being tasty back when I was a kid in school, but after 20 years, it was like eating something truly artificial. The "creme" wasn't very good... I got the feeling of eating something that was melted and dried more than once, and there was some weird aftertaste, like it had artificial sweetener in it.

Of course, it's possible they were always that way too and I never noticed...

Every fancy, handcrafted, small batch chocolate has been this way for me. I'd rather just go to See's Candies.

Bought the Lifesavers White Chocolate strawberries and cream some weeks ago, it was awful (just way too sickly sweet)

I miss the shit out of those big chocolate and vanilla life saver lollipops

Pocky. Back before it was sold in the US and was only known in anime fandom as the quintessential otaku snack of the anime motherland that anyone who liked anime would be so lucky to try one day.

There are some good flavors, but all in all it's a solidly mid snack. At least we get Pocky Day fanart out of it.

As an Asian kid who likely spent more time at the Asian grocery stores than US stores growing up, it was interesting to see Pocky gain popularity in the US during the 2000s.

I personally liked Pocky because I enjoyed novelty of the Pocky sticks!

Same. We always had a plain and dark chocolate pocky type snack in my country and the additional flavours are okay but all in all pretty bland.

Yeah, it's nothing to write home about, but it's a nice treat from time to time. Preferred banana-chocolate (yes, I'm weird), but the other flavors were good too.

Saw an ad for a Baileys ice cream and thought it would be nice but it was much too sweet. Baileys is already very sweet on its own but they sweetened the additional base icecream as well and far too much.

And then every sweet snack that has artificial sweeteners instead of sugar is an automatic miss for me. I can always taste it and I hate the taste.

My gluten-free hell :( I miss proper Jaffa Cakes, the gluten free ones taste like ass in the worst way.
