If you think they look fun, that's fine. But art-style aside, why couldn't they actually match the physical descriptions of the characters?

AYRT. IDEK I grew up with 80s fantasy novel covers so that wasn't even a consideration for me. I love playing 'who IS that anyway?' on the cover of cheesy fantasy books.

Even 80s fantasy didn't have cover art that showed people dressed like an extra in a Cyndi Lauper video and wielding fax machines instead of swords, though.
