Hmm, this is interesting actually, I didn't realize that I don't have a good definition of sex. I've got some intuitions about what counts:

PIV/anal where one/both people orgasm - definitely sex
PIV/anal where neither person orgasm - still think that's sex
Oral where someone orgasms - sex
Oral where the person doesn't orgasm - again, still think that's sex
Manually stimulating someone else to orgasm - sex
Manually stimulating someone else but they don't orgasm - logically seems like it should be sex but intuitively I feel more like it depends on like, how extensive it is? Like, over the pants groping - doesn't feel like sex, making out fully nude and jerking each other off but not finishing - definitely feels like sex
Masturbation alone - not sex
Masturbation with someone else via phone/webcam - phone sex, not sex-sex
Masturbation together but not touching - probably not sex?
Masturbation together while touching/kissing/etc - possibly sex, I think?
Other shit like what about people who can orgasm without direct genital stimulation - honestly no idea?

But yeah no clear definition, curious about other people's takes on these also, or if anyone has other scenarios to consider.
