(Anonymous) 2025-03-01 10:16 pm (UTC)(link)It is ok if you hate Xander because now it's a meme that he was Joss's self insert, and Joss deserves all the hate, but this is a bit reaching especially since none of the series's writers were involved in the comic writing team so yeah, no, series Xander, canon Xander, would've never involved himself with Dawn, even after Dawn was of age (Which was the case in the comics, Dawn was 19 or so, IIRC, while Angel involved himself with Buffy when Buffy was 17)
