The shoes on the BED drives me CRAZY. Like... here's the thing, I understand why it happens on TV! It could be a time-consuming and physically awkward action for a character to stop and take their shoes off before getting on the bed if they then have to get back up, and if this is one of those old 'live studio audience' sitcoms, that actor may have to be over on the next set in their shoes shortly after that scene and so then stopping to put the shoes back ON is going to add time if there's no costume change necessary. As with theater, there are TV shows where I understand that it's just streamlining things if they don't have the actors take their shoes off at times when a regular person would. Doesn't mean it doesn't bother me every time!

Especially because the first character that leapt directly to my mind for having his shoes on the bed and also on the kitchen counter, in every other respect seems like he's anal retentive and like, SHOULD be a neat freak, and is squeamish about certain things being gross, so like... I get why the actor isn't stopping to take his shoes off but that character would not put shoes on the bed sober. (to be fair, he's NOT sober when his shoes are on the kitchen counter)
